Begin with a diagnostic and an honest calendar
Write down your available study sessions before counting questions. Choose a fresh mixed practice sample and explain each answer without notes. Record correct guesses as learning gaps: a lucky letter is not the same as a justified decision.
If you cannot explain basic delivery approaches, stakeholder decisions and governance boundaries, use the longer plan first. Protect recovery time after a full mock. A month filled with repeated tests but no correction of misconceptions can leave you confident for the wrong reason.
30-day schedule with visible outputs
This is an ITCertPath editorial study plan, not a PMI-mandated timetable. Move to the next stage when you can explain the decisions, not merely because the calendar says so. Use the domain question guides and course material linked below.
| Days | Work | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Fresh baseline and concept gap review | An error log with the reason behind each miss |
| 4–9 | People decisions and stakeholder exercises | Explain conflict and communication choices |
| 10–17 | Planning, delivery and quality scenarios | Compare options using evidence and constraints |
| 18–22 | Governance, risk, change and responsible AI | Explain authority, impact and verification |
| 23–26 | Fresh timed mock, then focused remediation | A revised weak-area plan; no score-only review |
| 27–30 | Fresh mixed validation and exam logistics | A readiness decision, with extra time if needed |
Use a repeatable study-session loop
Begin by retrieving yesterday’s principle from memory. Study one concept, solve a small fresh scenario set, then explain why the alternatives are less appropriate. End by writing a one-sentence rule with its limitation: for example, involve the team in resolving a planning problem, but follow an urgent safety response when delay would expose people to harm.
In the error log, separate knowledge, interpretation, authority and pacing mistakes. A formula error needs different remediation from repeatedly escalating a problem before gathering available facts. Revisit a missed concept after a delay using a different scenario, not the same wording with the answer still in memory.
Make readiness a decision, not a percentage promise
Look for stable performance on fresh material, explanations that survive a challenge, coverage across the three domains and enough time to review uncertain items. An ITCertPath mock score is diagnostic; it is not an official PMI pass prediction.
If you are running out of time, shorten the resource list rather than deleting review. Keep one primary concept path, one error log and fresh practice. Extend the schedule when a recurring gap remains. In the last sessions, check your appointment instructions, identification and delivery arrangements rather than starting an entirely new question bank.
